Founding Story

Ridouane Issaka Harouna, known as Sultan, was born in December 2005 in Niamey. Displaying exceptional promise from an early age, he earned a high school scholarship from Türkiye Diyanet Foundation at just thirteen and graduated with distinction from high school in Türkiye by the age of seventeen.

Tragedy struck when Sultan lost his beloved father that same year, reshaping his life's trajectory. He made the courageous choice to suspend his studies, prioritizing the welfare of his family above all. This pivotal moment ignited Sultan's enduring dedication to uplifting others in similar circumstances. His aspirations for Sultan Aid Nonprofit Organization began long before its formal establishment. Even in his youth, Sultan displayed exceptional linguistic abilities, fluent in seven languages, including French, Arabic, English, Hausa, Zarma, Turkish, and Spanish, which he utilized in his early humanitarian endeavors.

Sultan's humanitarian activities commenced early, driven by an innate desire to make a tangible difference. At sixteen, he spearheaded grassroots initiatives, providing essentials to over 300 underprivileged families. Recognizing the acute need for clean water, Sultan mobilized resources to drill a life-giving well in a village facing severe shortages, offering sustained relief.

His unwavering conviction, encapsulated in his resounding statement, "Being deprived should not be an excuse for not creating a livable world for everyone, and strength is not just measured by overcoming obstacles; it is found in lifting others beyond their struggles." underscores Sultan's steadfast belief in equitable opportunities for everyone, regardless of circumstances. Even prior to SAid's formal inception, Sultan's compassion and resolve were catalysts for impactful change. At sixteen, his leadership in humanitarian aid efforts reached 300 families, extending essential support. The subsequent year, his compassionate endeavors expanded, aiding over 700 families, with a particular emphasis on vulnerable children and young women.

These milestones affirm SAid's commitment to proactive social change. Sultan's grassroots initiatives exemplified his unwavering commitment to creating tangible, sustainable impact long before the organization's official recognition.

Today, Sultan Aid Nonprofit Organization stands as a testament to Sultan's resilience, echoing his proactive spirit and dedication to transformative change. Sultan's vision, coupled with his early actions, laid the foundation for SAid's enduring mission—an enduring testament to the belief that compassion and dedication can illuminate paths toward a better world.
